Xantia 1.9 TD Auto disco dash lights.

Unread post by mark-nimbus-it-uk »

Hi,

This has been going on for a while. All the way to Berlin and back and more.
Voltage on a digital read out on cig lighter plug (accurate to 4 decimal places......) shows the voltage dipping low, 12.4, but never has it pondered about glow plugs or turning over the day after.
When under high load (lights and fans and wipers etc), the little auto gearbox LEDs on the right of the dash go into 'disco' mode.
The alternator was new 5000 miles back.

Any ideas?

It might be worth checking the heavy duty cables and their contact points. The cables have been known to break down over time. A simple way to check the cables is to run her for about half an hour, turn the engine off, and then feel the cables to see if any of them are warm or hot to the touch.

A Lexia session on the gearbox would be most valuable...

As the C4 Loeb is in for MOT, the missus has it for this week. What is the best way to post video for the forum?

No such thing as noob ignorance imo, just noob cockeyness ignorance that stuffs things up. Asking for help is not a noob thing, it's a learning thing. For example, I'm not a heart surgeon...

Do you need installation help or usage instructions for Lexia.

Which transmission does the car have? AL4 or 4HP14?
