ZX 1.9TD Wiring Diagram

Unread post by Rhothgar »

Morning all,

Had a detailed search of the forum but cannot see any posted anywhere.

It's clear that Wheeler appears to have knowledge of them but all the posts posted by anyone dated from 2001 to 2006 and beyond but very few posts beyond that.

So I was wondering if anyone has the proper electrical Citroen Workshop manuals to hand.

I have the Xantia ones so will sift through the earlier S1 wiring diagrams to see if there is ANY resemblance with the ZX componentry.

Even if someone has a later Haynes ZX Diesel manual, would you mind posting up a hi-res photo please or PM/ing one to me? Thanks in advance.

Sure I saw some genuine manuals come up on Ebay some years ago. Should have bought them.

Here's hoping. Thanks in advance.

Sylv says "If I had a pound for everytime you say you've got one of those somewhere"...

I think we have the Haynes one - somewhere!

As for the other, I've bought one of these discs before online and it wasn't the actual workshop manual from Citroen. It would be amazing if it was but I don't want to waste £18 to find out.

Glad you mentioned that Sherlock as I didn't see the 3rd one. Local too.

I am going to email and ask them to send a photo of a random page so I can see if the detail is the same level as the factory ones I have then it's up to Sylv but then again she won £100 on Premium Bonds yesterday. Must be an omen.

Probably a bad one...

Xantia will have no similarity at all Roger. It never used your breed of Lucas pump with keypad and it never had a two pin diagnostic socket...

Looking at the petrol diagrams in the petrol-only ZX Haynes I have, it skips around all wiring diagrams for the immobiliser so I'd not put any faith in the diesel version of the ZX Haynes manual being much help.

The immobiliser wiring may go via the alarm ECU which on yours, should be mounted in the centre console by the handbrake lever. Check its connections...

I found my ELIT 2-pin diagnostic leads whilst clearing my garage yesterday :)

OK. Will check out. Glad you found the cable and didn't inadvertently through it out...

Cheers MattBLancs

A response is better than none in my book.

Not sure if it will have any information of use but I can deduce that. Car is 1997 so much later than what yours goes to.

I am looking for immobiliser circuit which may perhaps be part of any alarm diagram, central locking diagram, ignition diagram for a diesel with a Lucas pump please. The Lucas being critical.

Matt, I'm not sure if Roger has seen your offer. What is currently needed is the wiring for the immobiliser circuits encompassing the keypad, pump, stop solenoid and ecu connections. Obviously there may be more but his car is a P reg and may be different to your manual!! :)
