Hi,
I changed the Turbocharger on my C5.
Now I get Errors P2563 & P129b
I tried to teach the new Turbine Valve but don't really understand how the procedure in Diagbox is meant to work. The engine should be in idle for 1 minute and afterwards it should run with 4k revolutions for 10seconds.
As long as the car is stationary the engine only runs on 3k revolutions. The teaching seems to finish correct but probably with the wrong settings?!
Could someone please give me some advice??
Thanks in advance
Jonas

We'll need the VIN for this vehicle Jonas, as are there are 2 variations of the 2.2. Please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff.

Re: C5 X7 2.2 HDI Turbocharger Repair
Ok, I was afraid of this - you have the DW12BTED4 175 2.2 and this engine has the least amount of fault detail available unfortunately.
P2563: Turbine valve position repeat signal 2: Turbine valve 2 stuck
P129B: Turbine valve position repeat signal 2: The valve opens more than the reference value
So I can't offer any more help on this - except have you checked the control rods operated by the vacuum circuit to make sure they are functioning properly?

Re: C5 X7 2.2 HDI Turbocharger Repair
Thats very sad...
I checked the Rods and they are moving as expected.
I thought i have to use the learnig function in the diagbox for the new actor but as i wrote before the software is asking to run the engine in idle for 1 minute and afterwards to run the engine on 4000 rpm for 10 seconds but thats not possible because as long as the vehicle is stationary the engine is limited to 3000rpm.
Did anybody tried the learnig function for the 2nd turbo valve?

If there is a Lexia / Diagbox guided learning procedure, I would expect the engine speed limit while stationary to be overridden for the procedure, so make sure you are following the procedure with the diagnostic connected whilst undertaking it.
Also, I can't see any mention of a diagnostic procedure listed after replacing the Bi-Turbo....
