Hi Guys
I'm new to the forum and wondered if anyone has had a similar experience. I have a 2011 DS3 DStyle Auto and a couple of months ago whilst dropping my husband off at the pub the EPS light came on whilst driving through town for no apparent reason. I also noticed at the time the fan started running after each journey (I work from home so only tend to do short journeys around town so this was generally from a cold engine having only driven a mile or so). Within a day this had developed into an engine fault (Code 2177 - mixture too lean) appearing. I had my mechanic check it out and we replaced the upstream oxygen sensor and deleted the codes. This seemed to have fixed the problem but then a few days later it came back, again starting with the ESP light and then engine management light came on. After diagnostics again we then replaced the rocker cover as he was advised the issue could be due to a valve seal that is integral to the rocker cover. He also checked the timing chain and position of the timing to rule this out. He took it out for a good drive and again all seemed well but the fault re-occured again a day or so later. We then changed spark plugs, fuel filter and air filter as part of routine servicing and the downstream oxygen sensor. The fault re-occured a matter of hours after I got the car back. Often it is only the engine fault showing and not the EPS/ASR fault but this has now come on yet again, although the fan is no longer running (I did wonder if the fan may have been down to the warm weather in June but it still seemed strange after a cold start).
I am coming to the end of my tether as we don't know what to look at next and this has now been ongoing for 2-3 months. If anyone has had a similar problem or can shed any light on what may be causing the fault I would really appreciate your assistance.
Many Thanks
