Hi Guys,
Hope your all good, need help with a C3. This car was running but had an issue with central locking. Relay was going to take a while to come so ordered a donor BSI same part number.
Anyways garage did something and car wouldn't start after, no electric windows. Car cranks but no start. Lexia has no communication at all with any modules at all.
Autel can access engine ECU with fault for Immobiliser but fails to get Comms to any other modules including BSI. I'm thinking at this moment the bsi is fried so swap eeprom to donor BSI plug in but still no communication with bsi... Upon checking the eeprom it is corrupted. I program a virgin file to bsi still no Comms but Windows do work now.
I have checked all fuses on bsi and bsm including maxi fuses and all good.
I have checked all power and grounds and they look good on bsi. As I can communicate with ECU what type of data line does it use? Is it k line?
I'm assuming there is some issue with CAN high CAN low, or Body Van 1 Or Body Van 2 signals but not sure where to start or what ohm readings I need to check. Also what cables to check for continuity?
Any help will be appreciated...
Thank you

Re: Citroen C3 2003 No Comms Issue
The EEPROM shouldn't have anything to do with the operation of the BSI (er...sort of). It will effect the odometer, remote central locking and immobilizer. But otherwise the BSI should do everything else.
My question is; could you scan the car with the LEXIA before all of this? My best guess is the LEXIA isn't working. Upgrade the LEXIA software? Tried Diagbox? I don't have much to go on here.
If you could scan the power steering, ABS and the engine ECU before, then you still should be able, because they have nothing to do with the BSI at the OBDII connector.
See if the BSM is "awake" by turning on the side lights. But then you do say the AUTEL will scan the engine ECU, so the BSM must be awake.
If you have the 4 character PIN code for the engine ECU, a "virgin" EEPROM should accept that code and disable the immobilizer. The odometer will automatically update. The remote central locking will require a brand new key from Citroen!! But if you are fiddling about with the EEPROM then you probably know that.
There is a K line for the power steering on pin 2 of the OBDII connector.
A K line for the engine ECU on pin 7.
A K line for the ABS/ESP pin 12.
A K line for the BSI (and all other ECU's) on pin 11.
