Darren,

There are different hoses for different engines but it depends what type of 1.6 engine it is as some are the same. Also the year.

I've had a look but it is very much engine and compressor type.

Hi Kenny, thanks for the help, I just got Marc to give me the part numbers to be on the safe side. Mine is 2.0 I was just wondering if the x7 1.6 had the same hoses as the 2.0. the 2l is less popular here. I personally wouldn't bother with a 1.6 x7 I think it's too small of an engine for the body.

I just had a look and you guessed it and no - completely different pipe sizes and shape on the 1.6 engines.!
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.

If it is only the rubber section of the hoses that is leaking, then you should be able to get them re-made, the trick is finding someone who has the correct tools.

Pirtek probably could, but you will need to get the whole pipe to them, as they will not be able to work on it in situ if the spaces are tight.

I was thinking they Look a bit different to the ones advertised for the 1.6. I ordered two new ones, they will be here next weekish. The outer layer of rubber on the old ones blistered off rather than cracking like you would normally expect very strange looking, I'll get some pics tomorrow. It turns out one of my neighbours son is a refrigeration tech so not so bad. I got a new condenser, dryer and the two hoses for less €200 Cuid so I will fit them when they come and get my neighbours son to gas it up.
