Hello, my question is if it is possible and what is the correct way to configure the low beams or side lights on a Citroen C4 Grand Picasso 2007 1.6 HDI
as daytime running lights when the engine is started? The car does not have DRL lights as equipment.
I did the necessary thing through Diagbox/Lexia, setting in the BSI menu:
1. Type of daytime running lights - Delicate daytime running lights.
2. Simultaneous illumination of the daytime running lights and side light - YES.
*Nothing happens after starting the engine.
In the car menu via the RD4 radio, automatic lighting is not available.
Which lights can be configured to start automatically and can their brightness be dimmed by percentages?
Maybe I'm wrong somewhere and I don't know, maybe more additional steps need to be configured.

If you don't have DRLs you can't make it happen changing the BSI settings. If you muck these up, you will get issues. Put the settings back to how they should be if you don't have dedicated DRLs.
The setting: "Simultaneous lighting of the day running lamps and sidelamps" with the following options:
Daytime running lamps without LED
Headlamps with bulb day running lamps
"Shared daytime lamps" for the Nordic countries : Lighting of dipped beams + front sidelamps + rear lamps
But these settings depend on your fitted equipment.

In the menu I don't have an option like the one shown:GiveMeABreak wrote: 21 Jul 2023, 10:16 If you don't have DRLs you can't make it happen changing the BSI settings. If you muck these up, you will get issues. Put the settings back to how they should be if you don't have dedicated DRLs.

That's it, you can't choose what types of daytime running lights to be.

The option ""Shared daytime lamps" for the Nordic countries: Lighting of dipped beams + front sidelamps + rear lamps" is the Nordic option I mentioned which you have that set to. But you CANNOT set the Dedicated DRLs as an option if you do not have them fitted as in 1) of your first post.

That is, in two or three words, I can't do anything, because the car does not have this equipment.GiveMeABreak wrote: 21 Jul 2023, 12:35 The option ""Shared daytime lamps" for the Nordic countries: Lighting of dipped beams + front sidelamps + rear lamps" is the Nordic option I mentioned which you have that set to. I have set it to dedicated DRL and set to additionally automatically turn on the headlights.Trafic2011 wrote: 21 Jul 2023, 13:06That is, in two or three words, I can't do anything, because the car does not have this equipment.GiveMeABreak wrote: 21 Jul 2023, 12:35 The option ""Shared daytime lamps" for the Nordic countries: Lighting of dipped beams + front sidelamps + rear lamps" is the Nordic option I mentioned which you have that set to. Now everytime I start the engine the headlights turn on, which is what I wanted. Regardless of the headlight switch position. Well except on stationary lights position, but that is it.
If you need I can check with diagbox exactly what I did.
