The August Adventure
Having had a successful morning's work on Bluebell, Jim and I went for a very tasty lunch at his local. The conversation turned to making the most of our assets and therefore the first job is to return to Beamish to see the parts we missed and explore a number of railway orientated places during the trip. So we will be heading north again on August 15th to return on the 17th and visit Beamish, three different railways and maybe the odd hostelry. We will stay in the same place, The Lambton Worm, which was very pleasant and then tour from there. Anyone wishing to join in just shout and we'll sort something out!!
Our conversation then moved on to reviving another ready planned trip which was crushed due to COVID, so I am about to revive the thread for The South Coast Saunter!!

Re: The August Adventure
Back seat of the car is free Mike, just need to book another room at The Lambton Worm. I can do that if you want to give it a go. Plan is to pick Jim up at 6.30 on the 15th at his house where you could leave your car. Let me know if you want to go for it and I'll contact The Worm, or would you prefer to make your own booking there?

Re: The August Adventure
On the Lambton Worm note, I spotted this yesterday
The little blonde girl used to live in the next street but I can't recall ever seeing that sign outside the school and I walk past it at least a couple of times a week, my son lives just the other side of it.
Must remember to have a look.
