C4 Picasso II / Spacetourer Oct 2018 hatch release
The centre button on the remote / ignition hand control opens the 'boot' lid when held on for a second or so. Fine, that works ok; but should the boot lid then rise? Mine just unlatches and has to be lifted. Car's mileage is 31500, so surely the struts don't need replacing - if they are replaced, will the lid then rise?

I see you've changed your vehicle Roger, do you have the VIN so I can see which system you have..(please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff).

That's correct if it doesn't have electric tailgate. Not sure what the point is, never used it on ours in 5 years...!

Ok, so you do NOT have the motorised tailgate version, so no motorised struts - it simply unlocks the boot and nothing more on this vehicle.
Also - you have an outstanding after-sales campaign being flagged up. I suggest you give your dealer the VIN (not the registration) as on occasions they can screw up current vehicles with historic vehicles and get mixed up as has happened to me several times. Especially so when you have a personal plate that you transfer across and the system still thinks you are dealing with the old vehicle.
They should be able to tell you what the work involves, but will be free of charge.

Thanks Marc. My other post (about warning lights on the c4 puretech130) covers this.
