The Maker's Name-Close up Original Photos only.

Unread post by NewcastleFalcon »

I have a picture, but not a thread for it. Not necessarily an A to Z but I may try and play that game myself.
What it needs is original close ups of the badges bearing the makers name. Its a collection, duplicates and variations encouraged. At the very least I would expect the assembled throng of the french car forum, to weigh in with a bit of Citroen, Peugeot, and Renault badges in close up, in all their variations.

Starter for 10, and few better places to start...
on an Austin 1300 GT
on an Austin 1300 GT
and few will spot one of these and get the camera out, so I'll give myself 50 points for an unusual spot :-D
original model was called a Delahaye 135 LM and came in many body styles and racing trim.

Have a whizz over here to see it in its full glory

Fails my desired "originals only" test Steve, but c'est la vie! I'm sure you can supply a "Honda", but as ever in the Falcon playbook, participation wins over pedantry any day of the week :-D

To disturb any notion of organisation, or alphabetical order in proceedings on the thread here's an original randomly onto "T"

Not sure where I would get a Honda one from Neil.

The Allard was an original inasmuch as it was the original Allard badge.

This thread thrives on floods, and bikes are very welcome, and more likely than not, inspired by your contribution, I may well roll out some originals of Velocette's finest.

Meantime from the same stable literally, ie the bloke who owns the DelaHaye owns this too...The Golden Chevrons photographed on my impromptu little tour.

Bit of a recap to post 1. Dont think I can easily find an AD016 with a red badge like this as standard although I thought it was nothing particularly unusual for the car. Maybe its a bit like the Blue AA badge I posted here, no other anywhere on the internet has you thinking there has been a bit of DIY enhancement going on. Some of the old Austin light commercials had a red Austin makers name, but did the AD016 in any of its forms. :?:

If the rare sighting passed you by, of the so rare its almost extinct Blue AA badge, its here
