Hi,
Anyone have done the 1.6block and 1.1 head in AX?

Re: AX 1.6 Block
Sounds interesting idea. 1.6 block is steel rather than aluminium, so quite a bit more weight - maybe significantly so in a featherweight AX!
Why the need for the 1.1 cylinder head? The 1.6 was available in 8 valve and 16 valve variants, so could stick with complete 1.6 8 valve?

I would agree, or if you are doing the swap, go for a 16V oneMattBLancs wrote: 22 Jun 2023, 12:59 Why the need for the 1.1 cylinder head? The 1.6 was available in 8 valve and 16 valve variants, so could stick with complete 1.6 8 valve?
