Hello!
The normal phenomenon is that 6 times out of 10, when I turn on the ignition, the FAP additive pump starts for 3-4 seconds? There is no error code in the car. I recently had an Eolys refill. It has been since then.

Re: FAP pump question
How do you know it's the FAP additive pump making the noise? After the Eolys was refilled was a suitable diagnostic tool used to tell the system about this?

Re: FAP pump question
The source of the sound is clearly the FAP pump, because it emits it. And the same sound we hear when testing the pump. Clicking. My mechanic didn't use a diagbox. If I saw correctly, the device was a Thinkcar brand. This matters?Paul-R wrote: 15 Jun 2023, 12:15 How do you know it's the FAP additive pump making the noise? Re: FAP pump question
Never heard of Thinkcar before now but a brief search shows that they produce a range of diagnostic tools, some costing many thousands of pounds. So they're probably OK providing the correct procedure was followed.
