Drivers Door Handle C4

I have a C4. I banged the driver's door shut and now it won't open from the outside handle. Opens fine from the inside. I assume I've damaged something but when I took the panel off couldn't see anything out of place. Any ideas please? When you pull the handle it feels like the last few cms are stuck which prevents it from opening. Thank in advance
