Diesel in inlet manifold ?
1.6hdi. Van is off the road. Been having problems with injectors leaking, looks like fuel overflow to me. Also a lot of gas build up in crankcase, and a lot of fuel in oil. So I intake inlet manifold off and find it's soaking in diesel inside the ports. Does this point to a fault fuel pressure regulator?

Re: Diesel in inlet manifold ?
Does your engine have a DPF? if so failed regenerations can cause fuel in the oil.
I dont understand how there can be diesel in the inlet manifold, the diesel is injected directly into the cylinder & doesn't go through the manifold.

Yeh, definitely fuel though. And yes fuel in oil, fuel must be coming up inlet valves.wheeler wrote: 14 Jun 2023, 22:26 Does your engine have a DPF? if so failed regenerations can cause fuel in the oil.
