DS3 130 Service Intervals and Oil Type

Unread post by completediv »

Hi
Just got a 2018 DS3 130 and I want to do a basic service, but cant find any info. Can anyone help me with specific oil type recommended for this engine and recommended service schedule? Any info gratefully accepted!
Cheers

Pop your VIN up as oil and service times are engine-specific (please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff).

Services are every 16k miles or every year - whichever comes soonest.
Oil:
00W30 B71 2312 - 00W30 B71 2312 (C1C2)

Note! The timing belt on these must be checked every service (the dealer would normally do this for this type of engine) due to issues. The standard timing belt change is initially 64k miles / 6 years (if not sooner), depending on condition of the belt, then every 128k miles / 12 years.

Hi Marc

Thankyou for the info. Its easier to find info on the belt problems than oil type and intervals!
I've visually looked at belt through filler and from what I can see doesn't appear cracked or damaged in any way, and car is very low mileage for year. Just need to find a tool to measure it. You wouldn't happen to know acceptable belt width is?

Once again, thanks, I appreciate your help

AS long as the belt looks in good condition, is not breaking up and deteriorating or misaligned, you should be fine. But it is essential to change the oil regularly and only use the correct grade and specification for these engines, due to the wet belt system used.

Last couple of cars we've bought, Citroen and Peugeot, they came with a single sheet listing the service intervals and oil type. You should have a look for this in the car documents but if missing a dealer ought to be able to print it again. The maintenance books are now only something for the service and paint warranty check stamps, a far cry from a few years ago.

The paint warranty checks are at 4 years and then every 2 years and have to be paid for at the dealer. They are worth having done, on our last 2 C4s both bonnets were replaced free due to the paint bubbling at the front edge on one and inside along the rear seam on the other.

From what I have read about the timing belt failures at low mileages on the Puretech engines, I would be wanting to replace it on a 5 year old car, especially one I had just bought and planning to keep for a few years so would get the benefit of it.

Hi
Thanks for your reply. I definitely haven't got the schedule in the car or the booklets, but I do have paint warranty details!
Re cambelt I am considering changing after what I've heard about Puretech but visually it's fine and I've ordered a guage to check it isn't 'spreading' so watch this space!
