C5 X7 Headlight upgrade

Hey guys, does anyone know if the headlights on a C5 X7 2008-11 are upgradeable with the 2011-2016 models regarding the LED DRL strip? BOTH with xenon lights. I was thinking of buying a pair of a wrecked 2016 C5 to fit them on my 2010 model.

Hard to say regarding wiring and programming as the LEDs work differently (2 power levels switched depending on day / night) to the versions with HP24W bulbs.

I've read some of your older posts on the LED style headlights. To me it looked like the dimming feature relay is located inside the headlight but I am not sure on that. It could be that the wiring (the 15pin connector) has the same pinout and on the pin that turns on the sidelights (on older headlights) dimms the LED strip (on the newer ones). I was hoping that someone here would know something about it / or that someone already tried to fit the LED headlights like i want to.

It's a bit pricey to buy them for them to end up not working, or even worse frying the control module for the headligts.

You have bad memory.

It´s plug and play. You need diagbox to change settings if DRL on old headlights are working same time with sidelights. If DRL is already on without sidelights, then no need for that and facelift -headlights work right away.
