Hi All,
I bought my new C4 (1.2 puretech, 130HP, manual, petrol) two months ago.
After a month or so I noticed that after 20-30 minutes of driving the clutch pedal gets harder to push. I cannot drive the car comfortably because to release the pedal feels weird as well, not as smooth as it should be.
Sometimes I feel that the brake pedal gets hard also at the exact same time.
My car service said that it is impossible, they could not find anything, and they did not experience my issue. Brake oil level ok, not leaking.
Did anyone experience the same or similar? How can it be fixed?
I am quite desperate.
Thanks in advance.

If your clutch is cable operated it might be the cable, the outer cable lining gets damaged and squeezes on the inner cable acting like a brake and causing the 'heavy' feeling.

It's hydraulic. It's using the same system and oil as the brake.

I'm not knowledgeable on car hydraulics but I do use alot of hydraulic equipment at work, which goes wrong quite often. It sounds to me that the hydraulic oil is not returning correctly to the reservoir hence the increase in pressure, probably a bad joint/non return valve.

Yes I ask the stupid questions, because normally it is that simple.
