Peugeot 407sw ABS/ESP fault

Hi everyone. Had this car for 4 years and no issues up to now. Approx 6 weeks ago I had the ABS/ESP warning lights come on. The next time I started the engine the warning lights had gone out and the car ran perfectly for the next week. Then it happened again and I turned the ignition off and once again the warning lights went out. Over the last 2 weeks it has been happening every day. Sometimes after travelling 500 yards and sometimes after 25 miles or so. My scanner reports 'Front Right Wheel sensor faulty. I have had the sensor replaced but still the same situation.Live Data shows all 4 wheels turning at same speed. No other codes reported. The car has done 188,000 miles and to the best of my knowledge the front Bearings have not been replaced. I am now suspecting that the Bearing could be the source of the problem although, from what I can see, there does not appear to be any obvious damage to the magnetic strip. I would very much appreciate any thoughts about this before investing in the cost of a new Bearing. Thanks.
