C1 wheel & tyre size

Post by Martyn »

Hi there, i have a Mk 2 C1 and I want to know what is the biggest wheel and tyre combination that can be fitted to it as I have seen a set of alloys off a C3 being advertised but they are fitted with wider tyres than I have on mine at the moment and bigger alloys, but with lower profile tyres. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Hi Martyn,

I regularly use a couple of websites for stuff like this, the first one in particular is a hugely useful and completely free tool.

You can search by Make and model, tyre size or wheel rim size, then you will need to identify which trim level and engine is applicable etc. Usually, those sizes listed in bold are original factory options, and those not in bold are suggested or known aftermarket choices.

Secondly if you are feeling more adventurous, use a tyre size comparison tool if you want to change wheels but have tyres that will reasonably be similar in overall size to your originals, there are many around. Along with sites like 'Will they fit' which digs deeper in to things like offset. Of course the only true way to tell if something fits is to try it in reality.

Don't forget to account for any change in speedo readings caused by different tyre sizes but this is usually minimal unless you were doing something extreme which is unlikely on a C1.

An example here based on the assumption of a 2014 first gen C1 petrol:

Have a look at other engine variants too as they may list further sizes that will theoretically be suitable.

Best of luck!

C3 wheels will not fit on a C1. A C1 is basically a toyota which are 4 x 100 PCD. Most other citroens are 4 x 108 PCD. The best aftermarket sized wheels are 15" shod with 195/45x15 tyres. This size suits the C1 perfectly.

Never even noticed the PCD difference! Not familiar with the C1 so just assumed it was 4x108
