407 2.0 diesel low power
Hi I have a 407 2.0 diesel that has low power on hills or long drives and won't go above 3000 revs. Upon inspection I noticed a plug with what looks like a green wire that goes nowhere and no snapped green wire in the shielding. As you can see in the pictures. The pic with the screw sticking out is just so you can see where the plug fits in. I don't know much about cars so do not know what it's plugged into or what ot does and if its connected to my issue.
Help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Re: 407 2.0 diesel low power
It sounds like the engine ECU has reduced the power available (gone into a backup mode) to limit engine revs. It does this when there are specific fault codes so as not to damage the engine or systems.
I suggest you get if read the Diagbox / Peugeot Planet 2000 and provide us with the fault codes. Some vehicles will have unused connections, so depends on your equipment level, but I'd focus on getting it properly diagnosed first as that may be nothing to do with the issues.
