Multiple codes fuel rail fues mixture and engine faults

My DS3 sport 14 reg i keep getting loads of fault codes fuel mixture fuel rail and it goes into limp mode when I start it in the morning

Well it may help if you provide some of the fault codes and the VIN (please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff), that's the reason for having fault codes.

Ok, so you had an error in the 4th number of the VIN, it should be an 'S' not a 5, but I figured that out.

Here are the details for the fault codes as they relate to this engine, which may aid in troubleshooting, but I suggest you get some fuel in the vehicle as you can do without the added complications or faults due to a lack of fuel.
Fault Code: P1340
Description of Fault: Combustion misfiring (impact on catalytic converter): No. 4 cylinder. Cylinder 4 misfirings (Possibility of damage to the catalytic converter).
The following conditions have to be met:
- Engine management ECU in main triggering phase
- Engine speed above 500 rpm and below a threshold defined in the engine ECU
- Torque less than a threshold defined in the engine ECU
- The crankshaft and the camshaft are synchronised
Conditions for Fault to clear: Stop the engine and restart, in order to re-inject into the cylinders cut off following the detection of ignition misfirings.
Downgrade Modes whilst Fault is active:
  • Deactivation of oxygen sensor regulation
  • Deactivation of the canister purge function
  • Cutting of cylinders if fault persistent
  • Deactivation of richness regulation
  • Deactivation of checking of the canister purge
Symptoms:
  • Starting impossible
  • Idle speed too high
  • Unstable idling
  • Starting difficult
  • Lack of power
  • Engine hesitation
  • Emissions outside the norms
  • Excessive fuel consumption
Suspect Areas:
  • Electrical harness
  • Sparking plugs
  • Ignition coil
  • Fuel injector
  • Engine ECU
  • Engine compressions

Fault Code: P0313
Description of Fault: Low fuel level signal: Minimum level reached. Suspicion of lack of fuel in the tank.
The following conditions have to be met
- Engine management ECU in main triggering phase (After 1 seconds)
- The "fuel level" information received from the CAN is valid
- Fuel level low
Conditions for Fault to clear: 10 s after refilling the tank.
Downgrade Modes whilst Fault is active: -
Symptoms:
  • Information fault
Suspect Areas:
  • Fuel level indicator

Fault Code: P0087
Description of Fault: Fuel circuit: The pressure measured in the injection rail is less than the setting. Pressure in the fuel high pressure common injection rail lower than the pressure setting for a certain time (Less than 25 bars).
The following conditions have to be met:
- Engine management ECU in main triggering phase
- High pressure regulation active
- The fuel flow is between 5 and 180 %
- No adaptation of the high pressure pump in progress
Conditions for Fault to clear: The following conditions have to be met:
- Each time that the difference between the actual pressure in the fuel high pressure common injection rail and the setting is less than 25 bars for more than 2 s, the counter is decremented. If the counter is lower than 2, the first part of the conditions for clearing is validated.

- Each time that the difference between the actual pressure in the fuel high pressure common injection rail and the setting is greater than 25 bars for more than 2 s, the counter is decremented. If the counter is lower than 3, the second part of the conditions for clearing is validated.
Downgrade Modes whilst Fault is active:
  • Deactivation of the bringing to temperature of the catalytic converter
  • Engine operating with fuel pressure of 5 bars
  • Limitation of the engine load
Symptoms:
  • ack of power
  • Engine speed stuck
Suspect Areas:
  • High pressure fuel pump
  • Low pressure fuel circuit

Fault Code: P1336
Description of Fault: Combustion misfiring (impact on catalytic converter): Cylinder undetermined. Ignition misfiring (Possibility of damage to the catalytic converter).
Conditions of activation of the diagnostics - The following conditions have to be met:
- Engine management ECU in main triggering phase
- Engine speed above 500 rpm and below a threshold defined in the engine ECU
- Torque less than a threshold defined in the engine ECU
- The crankshaft and the camshaft are synchronised
Conditions for Fault to clear:
  • Stop the engine and restart, in order to re-inject into the cylinders cut off following the detection of ignition misfirings

  • Deactivation of the richness regulation
  • Deactivation of the canister purge function
  • Cutting of cylinders if fault persistent
