Hello all, now i kno everyone hates the big thing about key fobs but i really need an answer to see whether i am wasting my time?
I have checked the other sections on here and have done a search but cant find the answer.
I have recently aquired a Key fob from a V6 XM, which i have replaced batteries in. Now the reason why i purchased it was because my Xantia doesnt have a keyfob. Now the biggy, should it work with the Xantia, or am i jus looking a fool when trying to reprogram it?

Sorry mate, I think you may have been a little foolish here. Recently went to get a new key for my Xsara from a Cit dealer and was told that even the car has to be re-programmed to the new key and vice-versa. Far to much money over £160. Cost me about £10 in moby phone calls to the last owner who tracked down the spare key to his home and sent on to me in a normal post envelope (28p).

Any idea whether the IR from a Xm is switchable with the Xantia IR?
