ZX Stereo adaptor plate?

Post by Simon H »

Hello all
Does anyone know is it is possible to fit a 'normal' stereo in a ZX? I would like to fit a radio/cd player!

go to your local cit dealer and they will supply you with a wonderful adaptor plate complete with spring loaded flap for around a tenner!

Yes, it is cheaper from a Cit dealer. But mine didn't want to know. I got one from one near to where I work (170 miles from where I live) and they knew just what I wanted. In fact they even knew the part number from memory. If you tell them you want part number 8212EM, you should be OK. (Many thanks to D J Wollard for that!)

I know its a different car but the cheap adaptor on my Xant (from a1 motorstores) fitted in ok but the cover on the front of the dash that fits over the top, doesn't seem to fit flush since fitting, are the Citroen ones better, I'm sure they told me £40!!!!!
