So now all 4 injectors are out, I have cleaned the injector ports and the area around them and I am waiting for the new injectors to be delivered. In the meantime I want to ask if I should bleed the fuel lines before starting the vehicle. I wouldn't want the rail pump to start dry. How should I do it best? Is there a procedure for properly bleeding the system after replacing the injectors? Thank you again all the help I am getting here

2.0 HDI bleeding fuel system after injector replacement?
So yesterday I managed to remove the seized injectors on my Peugeot 308 2.0 HDI RHH engine. It was a little bit of a struggle, but I did it with a humongous reverse hammer and some crazy contraptions to get it attached to the injectors under the windshield.

The only thing I have ever followed is the procedure after replacing a fuel line and its the same procedure as a filter change
switching the ignition on and off about 10 times
If however (and unlikely on your 308) you have a manual pump next to the HP fuel pump then pump that but they are old skol now!

For this engine (DW10CTED4), to Prime the fuel circuit, use the manual priming pump for one minute.icu12345 wrote: 16 Apr 2023, 15:31 In the meantime I want to ask if I should bleed the fuel lines before starting the vehicle. Make sure you have pre-tightened and tightened everything to the correct torques and it is also essential that you have replaced the high pressure fuel pipes too. These operate at 2000 Bars and once removed, the pipe ends will be deformed from the original fitting and tightening, so they are not designed to be reused or you will get fuel leaks.
