Wiring to heated seats C3/DS3 2010

Unread post by Arktez »

Hi. I changed the non heated seats for leather heated seats in Citroen DS3. Unfortunately my car don't have wiring to heating in the plug that plugs into the seat. I need a wiring diagram to know how to add missing cables and where to plug them in and where to get the power supply and the rest of the missing cables. Now in the wires to the seat i have 5 cables, but in the new seats there is at least 10 cables i think.

You probably don't have the correct intermediate wiring harness for this option - so a non-starter most likely, unless you are thinking about stripping out the entire harness form the vehicle....

Yes, i'm thinking about stripping out the entire harness form the vehicle. Or i only add missing wires and hide them somewhere

Doesent look like theres much to it. A connection from the 16 pin black connector on the BSI & a permanent live from the BFH1 fusebox

Yes, thank you! Do you have this diagram with better quality? Maybe it have better quality if you send it to my e-mail [email protected] I can't see the number of wires. Do you have an explanation of module names like BFH1, 8310?

Sorry for my bad english

What is BFH1? There is no such name on this page. This diagram is for heating in seats only? It shows that there are only two wires going to the seats. But there are 14 wires in the plug on the heated seat and 6 on the unheated seat so how to know what the missing wires are?

Diagrams are vehicle-specific and depend on your actual vehicle, trim level, engine, build date, fitted equipment and any options.

BFH1 is the passenger compartment 1 fuse box No 1

It's as I said in my first post, this seat obviously came from a vehicle with different fitted options / equipment than you have - so you don't have the other components or the wiring in the vehicle.

Sorry, but you are saying things that are completely obvious to me. It's normal that I don't have the necessary wires in my car, and I wrote here not to find out what I already know, but to find out how to add the missing wires. It's probably best to buy a whole bunch of wires from the car where the heated seats were.

Yes, PSA diagrams only show wiring relating to the specific system so it will only show the heated seat system. It wont show anything else on the seats like airbags or seatbelt warning system.
This diagram shows 4 wires going to each seat + 3 to the temperature controller.
The component list on the wiki may be getting a bit out of date now I suppose so may not have absolutely everything now.

yes you can get diagrams here, bear in mind that if you search by vin it wont show heated seats as your car never had them. you need to search manually.

You're not understanding us - you are asking for something that was never fitted on your vehicle. Diagrams are by specific vehicle and we would be guessing therefore.

I already told you that there are different looms in the car for different options, but you said you were going to replace it which will probably tear the car apart. Best of luck with whatever you do.

I don't mind having to take a piece of the car apart. Thanks to the wiring diagrams, I had already assembled a touchscreen radio from a newer Citroen and had to add a lot of cables. It's my pleasure and you warn me like it's the end of the world. If i get the wiring cables from a citroen with heated seats maybe I'll know where to connect them.

Note that the diagrams above show connections and pin numbers for the connections between components and harnesses, it ignores connections between two harnesses, so for example, you should find a heat control module on each seat that has a 4V GR (4 way grey) connector, with the 4 wires going to the power source and the heat control. The 14 pin connector(s) you refer to are harness connectors, not shown on these diagrams, but on separate harness diagrams which do not generally have as much detail of the components.
