Fast indicators C4GP Exc 2015

Hi everyone. I've been having a little bit of a mare with my C4 GP exclusive 2015 for a couple of months.

Started with battery drain, and i have had the battery and battery charge relay replaced. However, since then I have had a few issues. My remote locking stopped (keyless worked) and wouldnt reconnect to the car as per the manual, and my indicators were double speed. I had the BSI reloaded last week. This fixed the key issue, and the indicator speed. However. I then got an error for "front side marker" and "rear indicator", according to the Citroen App.

I have followed the BSI reset this afternoon. This cleared the side marker error, so no warnings on start up. But I do have errors on both directional indicators on first use and the service lamp lights. And they are super speed again. I've checked the lamps in the boot and side and front also work fine. However, I have noticed that I do not have side lights or indicators in the lower bumper clusters (boot open). The fogs do work though.

I was hoping someone may have a suggestion, though I am resigned that I may need to take it into Citroen. Thank you.

Make sure you haven't replaced any halogen bulbs with LEDs, that can cause fast flashing.

Thank you Marc. All standard bulbs as checked them over this afternoon. I've not replaced any since I had the car (4 years).

If you took it to Citroen for the BSI download and the same issue - take it back there.

If you didn't take it to a dealer, then yes, I would get a proper diagnostic done before you start having 'things' done.

I was thinking the same, just hopeful I might have missed something obvious I could sort myself. It was an auto electrician with the proper Citroen kit, which I went to for that reason. But yes, cheers Marc for the quick replies, I'll look to go direct to Citroen.

The BSI software should not really be touched unless there is a specific issue, as it will need checking to ensure all customer vehicle options are reinstated afterwards.

For the speedy indicators check all the bulbs carefully, things like sagging filaments in brake light bulbs can cause that.

Thanks gibbo. Would a sagging filament issue in the brake lights lamp knock out both of the lower bumper clusters, tail lights and indicators?
