I think I'm going to have to run that through Google Translate to fully understand what he's trying to say
It was only a couple of years ago that PSA (as was) said that Peugeot would be more of a premium brand and Citroen would be more of a cheaper brand.

... as was DS Automobiles that have more problems than I've had hot dinners - the DS7 being no exception. I know several returning these for threadbare rear tyres - that do little more than 6k kms - now being found to be the electronic rear diff!
These cars have so many electronics they are going to be a money pit. Resale values will plummet and they will be back to where Citroen were not too long ago.
Back to that article - another nipper out of high school thinking he knows it all - we'll see.

Totally agree trying to make a name for himself. I think the history of Citroen customer service over the past decade will prevent this from happening. Your only as good as your last job and we all know that it hasn't been good. Most cars are expensive to run now but other manufacturers have good supply chains in comparison to PSA and parts tend be cheaper for other brands. It will be interesting to see how this develops. Very subtle wording as Bobins pointed out. Cheap cars at high prices and expensive after sales. Not a great business model
. People cop on pretty Quick unless your an idiot like me of course.

Oh dear, I'm no farmer but that smells like BS to me. Unfortunately Stellantis and its 14 brands operate in a global car market which is in turmoil, and like much of the automotive industry will be sitting on a large inventory of unsold cars. Yes and the competition will very quickly turn to discounting (more like fire-selling) to get rid of it, and the best laid plans of Stellantis and Citroen will "gang aft aglee". As far as the UK goes while Citroen exits stage left the competition enters stage right viewtopic.php?p=749651#p749651“There’s no need or impetus to discount," he said. "Instead, where we are this year, as we look at supply freeing up, is with a question mark over demand in this country in terms of the cost of living crisis. I see this as an opportunity for Citroën to take share this year because of that positioning as a value proposition.”
It was at the back end of 2022 when Stellantis presented it's latest vision for Citroen. If you thought the Autocar article wasn't up to much you could try this...put up on the "Stellantis" thread on the OTCL. It's the official press release from "La Bouche du Cheval" at that time. It's of a similar standard!
