Peugeot 508 o2 sensor removal and smoke from injector housing

Unread post by dariobrb »

Hello guys,

Car is 508 2.0 163 HP 2011 year. Check engine light appeared some days ago, after accelerating a little bit. Scanned the car and got code for O2 sensor ageing. P2297 and P0134. I wanted to change sensor by myself, got the tools and everything. Followed procedure from document, but i am unable to reach sensor with any wrench as the space around sensor is small. :( Does anyone have some different approach how to change o2 sensor.

Other problem that i am having is little smoke that is coming from injector housing, could this be because injector seal failed or something else, also car has rough cold start and when accelerating while cold engine is shaking a bit, so i am assuming that something is wrong with injectors. Here is a video with injector correction if it helps to determine which injector is bad.

Only codes are for O2 sensor, there is no other codes for engine.

Thanks in advance guys :)

I guess it's about having the right tools for the job and in this case access is from underneath and from the right, so having it on a vehicle lift makes access easier for jobs like this.
