Weird experience today. The mirrors on Tourer stay in the closed position - as when the car is locked.
I have tried various thing but so not discovered how to make them open.
I thought I would check the fuses, but it was difficult to determine which fuse did what, and all the ones I looked at were fine.
Would resetting the BSI help?

Re: C5 X7 Mirrors stay closed
Possibly (BSI Reset / Battery Disconnect / Reconnect Procedure).
With the vehicle running, have you centred the mirror selection switch and then pulled it back to deploy the mirrors? If so what happens?
Can the mirrors still be electrically adjusted?

Re: C5 X7 Mirrors stay closed
Thanks for the help - Call me an idiot!
I have never used that button to close the mirrors in all the 12 plus years that I have owned the car!
I cannot remember sliding the button, which explains why I was mystified by them being closed.
Thanks again.
