Engine Oil types
Hi heshamderbala,
As you are driving most when it's hot then I guess either would do.
What does the car's user manual recommend?
Modern oils are very good and there's not much difference between 5W30 or 40 ... but the 40 is probably marginally better ... ?
This site https://www.machinerylubrication.com/Re ... engine-oil discusses the issues.
Best wishes, Captain K

Re: Engine Oil
Always use the correct oil specified in your service book. This is critical for some modern engines because of design updates, so is essential that the correct oil grade and type is used! A lot of PSA / DS petrol engines have a 'belt in oil' system and the correct oil is critical to the correct operation.heshamderbala wrote: 03 Mar 2023, 14:42 Hi

If you can't find the oil, pop your VIN up (please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff) and I will advise you on the correct type for your DS 7 as per the servicing schedule for the specific vehicle.
