Where to take my Pug for a proper diagnostic and quote in London?

Unread post by JenjenX »

My car has a fault - "Engine Fault: Repair Needed"

The car purchased recently from a large car supermarket.

First time fault came up they told me to take to Kwik Fit who cleared the faults.

A month later the fault has come back and they have advised that I can take to a better local garage or Peogeot dealer to get a proper diagnostics which they will pay for. I have 14 days to do this.

Now I called all Peugeot dealers and they are not available until end of April, even for a 1 hour diagnostics.

Can you guys suggest a decent garage in London who have the right tools to diagnose the fault and give me a quoatation on what it costs to fix?

Many Thanks!

Hi and :welc:
Have a look at the section of recommended garages which you can get to from this link:

One way of resolving this would be to join the Peugeot Planet & Diagbox Facebook group. Under the files section there is a map of people with the software, this is a clone of the dealer software, there are lots of people who will diagnose your faults for a drink. Most independant garages won't have this software, and main dealers will charge, so this is a very cost effective & quick & often local way to find faults. Sorry just re read your post, if the dealers are paying there is or was a French car specialist in Finchley, Frenchcarspecialists.com

An even better way is to look at our own list of members with Diagbox and are willing to share their time.

Sorry didn't know this existed, unfortunately it doesn't help the OP though as there is nobody in London, Diagbox group has half a dozen people listed in Greater London.
