306 S16 Blaupunkt radio/cassette & CD changer

Hi,

I’ve got a very original ‘95 306 S16 with the original Blaupunkt 3040 radio cassette unit fitted.

I’d like to fit a CD changer into the boot and have purchased a Blaupunkt A05 changer with lead. However, I can’t see how to connect the lead to the head unit.

From research it seems the changer is plugged in via the steering control port . Assume there is a sub loom or adaptor to allow this .

I’m after the same upgrade to my 3040 Blaupunkt in my 306 (95). Did you solve the conundrum? Looking to get the bits I need and fit them. (I’m spoilt in the A2 which has a both a CD player and Cassette deck in the dashboard from new!).
