my xantia dances up and down like a yo-yo is it my spheres that need changing and is it a ciroen dealer job only

Yes it is almost certainly the spheres and best of all it most certainly a DIY job. A quick search on the forum will produce a large number of suggestions on doing what is a simple and rewarding job.
