Hi , I have a 2006 C1 1.0 This car does not have central locking, and the tail gate will not open with the key I have , I have looked on ebay and all the locks are not with the barrel and key.
It is the key that does not turn, It may be a different key that I don't have because I bough the car from an auction, Any help on what my options are please, Is the door lock key barrel the same as the tail gate, It looks like I am going to have to remove the bumper to get the barrel out, Am I correct.?

Its is meant to be the same key for all locks & yes i believe the models without central locking don have a boot lock barrel. Have you tried soaking the lock in WD40 or similar & working the key in and out to try freeing it.
The issue with these is the locks and keys are known to wear really badly. Look at the tip end of the key & see if parts of the key look thinner.
If you want to keep the same key then a new lock set is the way to go.

Hi , Thanks for reply, The key could be different, I have soaked it and played with it for days, I dont mind having a separate key. do you know if the door locks are the same, I can find replacement door locks with keys but not for the tailgate.

The door lock barrels are different from the tailgate lock barrels.
