Atmospheric Press X7 2.0 HDi 163

Unread post by yoseff »

With Faplite , while connected to the X7 , i realized that Atmospheric Pressure shows a bit above what is read in the 2004 2.2 Hdi , at the same altitude.
What is the Sensor that reads that pressure and where is it located? Anything to worry? Could need cleaning?
As a reference at 10 Meters above Sea level X7 was showing 1024 mbar while 2.2 was reading 1012 mbar , within minutes difference (Just taking the obd2 dongle from one to the other)

The Atmospheric Pressure Sensors are integral to the Engine ECUs on both vehicles. Both vehicles have Inlet Air Pressure Sensors, but these are separate.

I shouldn't worry about it too much.

Thanks for the enlightenment.
By the way , could that happen due to some less than good remap? Or that is just raw information from the sensor?

Company got the car second hand , so i do not know the complete history on it.

The X7 has some weird small shake while using few accelerator (cruising using few fuel) , so i've been trying to realize what may provoke that.
One injector was bad , so the 4 new were fitted (company car that needs to be fully operational , so when timing belt was done also got 4 new injectors , as the other 3 could fail in the wrong time)
Diesel and air filter is new. MAF was just clean on the exterior (See photo) as i was not sure i could send MAF cleaner inside without getting into some trouble.

MAP was also clean.

I noted some improvements , but continue to feel a bit of shaking.
Battery is also new.

Any clue on what may be wrong there?

Have you run a full diagnostic with Diagbox yet? I suggest you do that and let me have any fault codes with the VIN.

Unfortunately, the Lexia / Diagbox i have access for now seems to be too old to be able to connect to X7. It connects to the 2.0 2003 HDi and to 2.2 2004 Hdi C5's but not to the 2010 2.0 HDi
Unsure if some update on the software / firmware would make it possible, I'll let you know what is the Lexia / Diagbox i have here, later.

What version are you running, as the later Lexia software does work on the X7 for 2009 vehicles at least. Your 163 DW10CTED4 may not though, but I haven't tried.

If you have an older interface you may have issues, but otherwise V7 of Diagbox should be fine.

The interface (From a friend) is "PSA XS Evolution 9780.Z5" AC965250

I just got a VM with Diagbox 9.129 (from PSA Diag), but i'm not sure if it's safe do try to connect that interface without risking to fry it due to some unwanted update. Does it ask if i want to update? I saw what you mentioned in other post, and MAJ_COM is set to FALSE , but unsure if some changes were done regarding to that.

Will turn on the other computer to check what is the Diagbox i have there, but i'm pretty sure it's way older. Where can i see version?

Upgrading the VCI won't 'fry' anything.

You must update the firmware for the VCI for it to work with the later versions of the software. Updates are automatic, but it won't work if you block it. Updates don't do any damage to the hardware.

I saw in some other post from you that it could brick the lexia if it was too old for that update , and that's why i said "fry". (Maybe i understood it wrong?)
If it bricks , is it recoverable? I dont want to ruin my friend's Lexia :D

I think that may of been an old post regarding older versions of VCIs with older hardware.

If he has a full chip kit revision C then it won't be an issue.

It's already working with the Diagbox 9.129 that is on a VM , but once again , it just connects with steering and suspention. All the others says no dialogue.
Maybe i need another Lexia for the X7?
With Interface Checker it says it is version APPLI_XS_Fuji_P106138A V4.4.0 @ACTIA 17.09.20
Once again it works well on the MK1 2.2 hdi , recognizing including the VIN.
On the x7 it asks to introduce the VIN

So it's very likely not a full chip kit then so can't communicate with later vehicle systems.

When i buy mine, i'll try to get a Full Chip one , as there are several things i wanna do to that X7. One i know is possible (remove the annoying bleep noise for the seatbelts) , others , not so sure (like deactivate the hill assist , as for me it is useless , annoying more than it helps)

I'm thinking to buy one. Is it ok to put links in here?

Their problem is not the software used, but the poor China VC. Return it - it will work differently depending on the vehicle - never properly.
There is a solid seller in the UK for decent VCI and forum members get a discount.

Don't get carried away - I'll tell you now you will have problems if you think you can go about disabling this and that! Hill start is part of the complete ESP system. You can't just deactivate the bits you want.

Seatbelt beeps can't be turned off either.

This is a sure way to make your vehicle inoperative and light up like a Christmas Tree. I've dealt with plenty of such cases where people thought this was a good idea and nearly bricked their vehicles.

I strongly suggest you take a read of this small post I put together before you go 'experimenting' as people aren't going to be willing to offer support to fix such issues afterwards:
