C4 MK1 1.6hdi Oil Change - Electric Pump Siphon?

Planning on changing the oil and don't really have the facilities to jack the car up safely enough for me to be under it. I actually have a cheap but effective electric siphon pump that I've used in the past. I'd get the car up to temp, then push the pipe down into the dipstick holder and extract the oil this way. I know this isn't the ideal method, but would there be any problems stopping me from doing this with my mk1 C4?
