Hi all,
I have a 2015 DS5 2ltr deisel auto on which the rear wndow washer fan jet doesn't "waggle" (pot luck if it directs onto the wiper blade area) when operated. Any ideas if this is removable to clean etc. I've had this problem on previous cars of various manufacturers and usually solve by removing the jet and forcing hot water through with a large syringe. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Dave.

Re: DS5 REAR WASHER JET REMOVAL
Usually a pin in the hole of the small ball bearing of the washer jet is used to redirect the spray.
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.

Re: DS5 REAR WASHER JET REMOVAL
Thanks Marc for the quick reply.
Apologies for what may have seemed a daft question but I thought the rear jet was like the ones on the bonnet which spray in a fanned out pattern. I'll give that a go with a pin etc.

Re: DS5 REAR WASHER JET REMOVAL
I tried adjusting mine, it went "click" and I think it jumped inwards into the inside of the light unit. It now can be adjusted, but it's also possible it's now detached from its mounting so it may be allowing water into the light.
So it's a firm "don't know" from me, and a warning to be careful!

Re: DS5 REAR WASHER JET REMOVAL
Thanks for the reply, I too tried to adjust (very gently) but made no difference.
Sometimes my spray does "waggle" to create a fan jet effect like the front ones.
I think I will try to remove the light unit and remove the jet from it to inspect/clean etc. I think I need to remove the spoiler to remove the light and gain access to the jet, but if anyone knows the best way to do that then any advice would be much appreciated. I will post again with any successes or failures once I've tinkered with it

Re: DS5 REAR WASHER JET REMOVAL
I looked at the option, I think it involves removing the inside cover from the boot lid. It's not the end of the world, but it isn't trivial.
If you do pull it apart then please post some photos of its innards. Mine just felt like it had unclipped when it clunked, if so then I should get round to pulling it apart.
I'd assume that the replacement cost will be silly amounts of money so take care.

Re: DS5 REAR WASHER JET REMOVAL
Hi,
I finally took mine apart and have attached pics of the jet and how it sits in the light fitting. Cleaned my jet but still doesn't spray properly. I've tried to source a replacement but nothing on the net showing up. If anyone knows the part number for just the jet please let me know. I have more pics of the trim pieces removed if you want me to post them. Trims were quite well fixed and took a bit of wrestling to get off. Beware when removing the light from the spoiler as there were 2 plastic lugs which I missed and consequently snapped, but didn't affect the light being held in place securely (shown in photo of spoiler). Let me know if you want the pics of the other trip pieces. Good luck

Re: DS5 REAR WASHER JET REMOVAL
Apologies the clips I broke were on the inside of the torx screws, not to the outside as shown in the photo of the spoiler (I'm not that good at editing pics on my phone ).
