CITROEN DISPATCH No Power!

Unread post by CITROEN123 »

Hi all,

I have a Citroën dispatch 1.6HDI, the engine warning light was on, with a P1352 fault code. I found what the fault was. It was an earth strap loose on the back of the cylinder head. The 10mm bolt was missing. Since I secured the earth on the back of the head and cleared the related DTC. It has cleared the P1352 code.

I'm now left with the following fault code:

P1442 - Adaptive pump connected by wire open circuit

P1445 - Adaptive the quantity of additive injected into the particular filter has exceeded the maximum threshold.

The vehicle will not exceed over 40mph, its as though its powerless...

I have tested the 2 pin connector to the additive tank and I have a good ground with a 12volt supply.

Could do with some help on this any ideas ?

It's presumably in limp mode, but neither of those codes will cause it. If the power and ground is OK at the pump, then the pump is probably stuffed. The second one means that the DPF has reached its predetermined life - but it will probably be OK if you just tell it that has been replaced.

The one about the brake pedal is probably causing the limp - check on live data to see that both parts are changing at the same time, but it's cheap enough just to replace it.

I can't help with your issues, but do you mind me asking which code reader you're using? I'm struggling to get any confirmation of something compatible for my van, same as yours assuming it's the latest shape?

The brake switch has a few functions, the obvious being to operate the lights. But it cancels the cruise control and tells the ECU when you are braking so it can shut off fuel (some polar bear saving device that cuts emissions.

So if you replaced the switch, then the possibility is something else is telling the ECU that you are slowing down.

There was a thread recently where someone had a similar brake issue and it turned out to be the bulbs had shorted out. Well, more like they were lighting up with a battery, but the CanBus wasn't happy as it was likely they had started drawing more current. Since both were fitted at the factory at the same time, they had deteriorated equally. They wont necessarily show up on the code reader, but it's worth a try swapping them out for new bulbs. Another possibility is if you have a tow bar, the electrics are prone to damage or water ingress, which again can affect the CanBus.
Has anyone seen the plot? :?

I am using a launch diagnostic machine, I have attached the picture below. The vehicle model year is on a 63 plate.

You need to start looking in live data. What is the turbo pressure looking like, what is the air flow saying?

I rescanned the abs module and got 2 codes c1335 rear right wheel speed sensor signal and c1325 rear left speed sesnor signal.

I need a wiring diagram if anyone can help?
