Clio 1.9D. Year 2000. Cooling fan not working.

Hello All

The radiator cooling fan on my Clio has stopped coming on when the engine gets hot.

Have checked the fuse in the panel inside the car, but don't know if a fuse or relay in the engine bay fusebox has blown.

Can photograph this fusebox if necessary.

The fan works if the + is connected directly to the battery.

If the thermo switch on the radiator is bypassed, with the ignition on, this does not cause the fan to work.

Any advice? Thanks in advance.
