C4 grand picasso clutch

Unread post by Davidmcd0 »

Hi

I have a 2013 C4 grand picasso. Last week the clutch was slipping in 5th and 6th gear. Had a new valeo clutch a kit and dual mass flywheel fitted but the problem is still there. Would there be anything else to cause the problem or could the new clutch or flywheel be faulty. Its 1.6 manual gearbox.

Is this a piloted manual system you have or just a manual gearbox?

I had a new clutch fitted 15k miles ago and it's slipping badly in all gears except reverse. Im told this could ne oil contamination but won't know until it is stripped down. Looking at something like £1200 to £1400. And to top it all off it looks like I've broken something that has caused the ESP/ABS system to throw a wobbly.

Yep, Dusty is correct, this happened to me on my X7, had a new clutch and DMF and 6k miles later started slipping in 5th & 6th again - turned out it was the oil crank case seal. Clutch had become contaminated and bingo.

Luckily I had Citroen warranty and they covered the labour and relevant parts - I just paid for a new clutch.
