Hello forum
Yesterday I got a fault code on front right speed sensor. Also checked live parameters in Diagbox and as expected front right speed sensor remains att zero while moving.
Does anyone have experience with changing the sensor? Is it worth trying any form of cleaning before going all in?
Cheers!

Re: Speed sensor C5 X7
If you've checked the wiring connections and there's no obvious contamination anywhere then I suspect it needs replacing. Just be very careful with these when replacing as they are very sensitive, so don't knock or bang them against anything.
Difficulty varies on type of suspension system (Hydraulic / Metallic) and on which side it is to get to the harnesses.
Right side on Hydraulic version needs the LDS tank unclipping and moving out the way
Left side needs the engine fuse box removing.

Thanks for the reply Marc!
OK, I will inspect the connections first. The LDS tank I have replaced before, so moving that aside should not be a problem. Thanks for the advice

Re: Speed sensor C5 X7
Update. Replaced the speed sensor. On my car it was sufficient to remove the screw for coolant reservoir and move it aside to access the connection. The real problem was however to remove the actual sensor from the hub. Totally stuck and impossible to remove. Had to carefully drill it out eventually. New senor in place now and all works fine.

Great, glad you have it sorted - when you think of it these sensors are put under a lot with our climate being where they are located - I'm surprised more failures aren't reported.
