Electronic handbrake and gear box issue

I have a 2015 Citroen C4 grand Picasso 1.6 blue hdi.
We recently changed the battery. Following this the electronic hand brake won’t go on or do anything. There was a period of cold weather so we thought it may have something to do with that. Now the car won’t go into gear when you start it but the gear stick will move when she’s not running. Only recently had a new clutch fitted. No codes are showing for anything, not even the hand brake. Very strange. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

You haven't mentioned what type of gearbox you have, but from the info regarding the clutch I suspect you have the piloted manual gearbox.

This being the case, there are special procedures that MUST be followed when replacing the clutch. A dealer-level diagnostic tool must be used to set the clutch biting point, so was this carried out?

Also when disconnecting and reconnecting the battery you should follow this guide:
