Which Lexia?

Unread post by seanrx »

Hi all.

My petrol C5 has an 0352 depollution fault.
Which I am sure is a rogue code, after driving with a failed alternator which resulted in many fault codes.

So which Lexia (are there several?) is required for a 2004 C5?
So I can enquire at several garages.

New alternator is now fitted and tested, but the 0352 appeared after 15 miles and I just limped home at 20 to 50 mph.
Have checked the spark plugs, look okay and the coil pack, nothing am able to check as everything encased in plastic.

Air box filter is a bit grotty, would a new alternator make the car's ecu more sensitive?

What you need is a Lexia with the full opto-coupler set. If you are buying it for yourself Easy Diagnostics has a good reputation and after care service, although they are not the cheapest. They regularly sell out (such as now), which could be an indicator of what is thought about them.

For a 2004 Citroen vehicle, the software LEXIA 345 with update 348 would be sufficient - this software works for Citroen until 2009/2010. However, this can only be installed and activated on Windows XP prof. 32 Bit. All you need is 0.5 GB RAM and a 1-core processor.

It would be more sensible to install DIAGBOX 7.57 or 7.62. This software contains the LEXIA for older Citroen, the Planet for older Peugeot and the Diagbox for all PSA vehicles up to approx. 2015.
The laptop must be more powerful:
At least 1GB RAM (better 3GB) and a dual processor. Operating system either XP prof. 32 bit or WIN7 32 bit.

Thanks for replies.

There is a diagnostic garage near me that has 'Citroen Lexia' listed as car models it will repair.

Will contact them with the above Lexia information.
