Faulty Fuel Gauge
I drive a 2011 Citroen DS3 Petrol, and I have a suspicion that the fuel gauge may be dodgy, I put a tenner worth of fuel in which is normally about 70 miles worth, and after 10 miles of driving it's down to 18, and a few seconds later its showing zero. Wondering if this is just a DS3 thing or if its something I need to fix.

Re: Faulty Fuel Gauge
What is down to 18? Or are you saying estimated remaining miles is 18?
When you get down to smaller amounts in the tank, it will affect the readings as what you get whilst driving about is only an estimation because of the nature of the fuel sloshing about and with such small amounts it will be hard to provide an accurate reading. When the vehicle is stopped, ignition off and then restarted again - the engine ECU takes an accurate reading of the fuel from the tank.
So over time with different driving habits and road conditions you may be getting less miles, and if you are only topping up by £10 a pop then you may see that you are hitting more into your reserve.
