2012 C5 2.0 HDI 140hp question regarding remap

Unread post by ivancro96 »

Hey everyone,

So I'm curious to the difference in parts of the engine with the 140hp and the 163hp versions, are they the same injectors, fuel pump etc.? I ask this because if not I don't really want to do a remap, but I think a little bit more power would be better, even though 140hp feels pretty ok overall.

Thanks in advance

The DW10CTED4 has many variations and differences over the DW10BTED4 engine as a result of Euro 5 standards, which included a lot of modifications to the emissions, location of components, cooling and EGR systems, diesel fuel filter and a new Delphi V1.5 injection assembly:
  • New integral engine top (HMI)
  • Electrically-controlled exhaust gas recycling valve
  • Exhaust gas recycling (EGR) heat exchanger
  • Pneumatic exhaust gas recycling heat exchanger bypass flap
  • Exhaust gas recycling (EGR) with exchanger and by-pass at the front instead of at the rear on the DW10BTED4 engine ( make VALEO)
  • Exhaust gas recycling module (Valve and cooler cannot be separated)
  • Cylinder head with new combustion chamber (Type ECCS identical to the DW12BTED4 engine)
  • Variable flow oil pump
  • Variable geometry turbocharger without turbo pressure regulation valve (HTT)
  • Delphi 1.5 diesel injection system with high pressure circuit to 2000 bars
So lots of modifications, but there are a lot more - the above relate only to main differences between the DW10BTED4 and the DW10CTED4, but Euro 5 brought more changes in relation to safety and crash impact, so come components were moved about.
