Hello everybody and Happy New Year 2023.
I own since 2012 a Citroen DS4 1.6 VTI SoChic with Brisbane 18" wheels.
It has reached 112000km and it still wears the factory's shock absorbers. Recently i feel that the car has abrupt absorbing. Some times no absorbing at all of the numerous potholes in Athens city roads. The car travels excellent in open roads and cornering is still very sporty and secure. Recently checked at various suspension garages, they found 87% the front and 85% the rear absorbers. The official Citroen dealer founds the function of the suspension still efficient but i complaint of many irritaning noises and knocks in everyday's city usage. The Citroen garage checked all ball joints and silent-blocks and found them o.k. My wheels are fitted with 225/45 R18 Kleber Dynaxer UHP tyres and Citroen's recommended tyre pressures are 2.3 front and 2.3 rear. In Kleber's site for my car and that tyre they recommend 2.0 front and rear. I am confused. Shall i replace the shocks, shall i try lower tyre pressures? Please advice...
