Citroen C5 X7 2008 - What Colour is My car?

Hi guys.

So late last night I very foolishly dented my DS front wing reversing around a corner (it was 3am, I was quite tired) but now I’m need of replacing it I’m looking at spares on cars from breaker yards, but I can’t for the life of me work out what colour my car is? Logbook says Grey, but every grey panel I can find looks so much lighter than mine?

Essentially what I’m trying to ask, is how many variations of grey did they make this model in? If more than one? Which one is mine.

The colour code is on the door it's is a three letter code on the id plate.

The paint code should be on the sticker in the driver's door shut:



You can check here if you want to cross-reference the code to a name, but a breaker won't know the difference between bourrasque and storm grey:

That Abyss Blue is lovely! Never seen one that shade (black, grey, occasionally the cherry red metallic)

I’ve seen an eBay listing for the right panel and they list the colour as “Thorium Grey”.

Secondary question: the panel is off a 2008 C5 estate, mines just the saloon, I’m right in saying the front end is exactly the same and that panel would still fit?

It might be quicker and cheaper to find a company like this locally to get that dent out rather than going to the extreme of changing the wing. Surprising what they manage to do.

Ok, so your paint code is EYP, which is Storm Grey Metallic.

This hadn’t dawned on me, I’ll have to look into this. There is a car body shop repair place literally 300metres from my house. I’ll swing it by there today and see what they say. Thanks for the advise.

Ok, so your paint code is EYP, which is Storm Grey Metallic.

Thanks for looking into this, my suspicions were correct that the eBay listing was a different grey. I’ll try a body repair shop and if not, look for a storm grey wing. All the best
