I have multiple electrical issues with my c4 picasso, 2013 gen 2.
First it was directional headlights, which almost invariably stops working after a few minutes, then works again when I start the car again later. One time the car would not shift gears when I started it, worked again after disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. Another time it refused to start, with the error message that the handbrake was not working. I tried to disconnect the battery, after that the error message disappeared, but nothing happened when I pressed the start button, not even an error message appeared. After an hour, while calling a car hauler, it finally started again.
Since every issue seems to resolve after I reset the car, I've come to the conclusion that it must be some kind of firmware issue, or other electrical issue.
I have heard about the problem with poor quality of cables in Citroën cars, and I read about someone noticing oxidation on circuit boards. I have also heard that the car is sensitive to having a battery that is starting to wear (which on the other hand could be caused by any issues with poor connectors).
Does anyone have any experience with this, know where to look, and how to solve these issues?

Re: Citroën c4 picasso gen 2 electrical problems
Hi, and
to the Forum. How old is the battery? It is known that, when a battery gets old and tired, PSA vehicles can throw up all sorts of strange problems, because there are a lot of ECUs, and they rely upon a clean power feed. That would be the first thing I would get checked.
