2010 Picasso footwell leak

Hi All, hoping you can help? 2010 1.6 petrol Picasso, water is coming into the passenger footwell. I took the wheel off and partially removed the wheel arch trim expecting to find some sort of drain hole but couldn't see anything. Did the same on the drivers side, nothing. Should i have taken off the second level of trim underneath the first wheel arch section? Or is it somewhere else? I'm pretty sure on an older 54 plate i was able to see the leaves and stuff that had gathered from looking from inside the bonnet and clear it all out but i can't see anything there with the 2010 version?

I'd also check the passenger door drain hole underneath the door - if this is blocked, water can be sloshed into the cabin when closing the door.

As for the water evacuation pipe, on the C4 Picasso, there are 2 layers - one the scuttle and another section underneath which is where the water evacuation pipe is located. But you may not even have to touch this - have a look here as this might help:
