I think I've spiked my ECU!!

Unread post by onejon1 »

Hi,

I think I've spiked my ECU!! Can you help to get the car running again, please?

Below is a video of what the car does when turning the key.

There are no blown fuses, as I've checked all the ones under the steering wheel and in a box that's inside the engine.

Kind regards

Jon

I vaguely remember seeing a post a long time ago about the flashing 8s on the odometer and "wagging" gauge needles having something to do with a fusebox fault (a bad solder joint or something like that?).

Disconnect the battery and come back to it in daylight tomorrow

Are the speedo dials flying up and down too? One symptom of the lights going haywire, clicking and the speedo dials moving rapidly is the main car battery needing changing.
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.
